I’m sitting at a coffee shop just north of downtown OKC called Coffee Slingers. I’ve already had 2 video shoots today around the metro area and I have one more at the OKC Police Dept. in less than an hour. With gas prices the way they are, buying a cup of coffee and working at a coffee shop is much cheaper than driving around to pass the time.

Coffee Slingers is just off 10th & Broadway. Its my first time here since they’ve opened and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. The inside of the building is simple and gorgeous with big open spaces and huge windows. They have free wireless access and the barista seemed like he knew what he was doing.

More often than not I’m a simple vanilla latte fan, but he got me to try something called a ‘cold brew’. Even after asking the guy how they make it (something along the lines of ’steeping in cold water for 18 hours to get more of the lower flavors’), I’m still not sure how it works. Regardless, I’m now hyped up on caffeine and ready for my next shoot.
