Super excited to see this event coming up soon. I went last year and had a great time.Basically its an art show with a load of custom painted old school Vans slides. The Canvas myspace page said something about 125 pairs were given out to Oklahoma artists to customize.Some friends of mine at RedHouse Studios had some Vans painted up last year, so it was cool to know some of the people involved with the art show. Hopefully I’ll see some more of their work this year.

Another part of the show is the live collaborative artwork project. Last year they had this huge canvas that local artists worked on during the night. I’m pretty sure they’re doing it again this year and it goes up for auction afterwards to support the after school arts program.
