Renegade Picture Show
A friend of mine told me about the guys with Renegade Picture Show. Basically, its a group of people and a traveling drive-in movie.
Their website describes what their doing as “an impromptu drive-up drive-in.” Everyone meets up at a designated location, a video projector is setup to show a movie on the side of a […]
Jazz in June
I made it out to Jazz in June yesterday for blues night. A couple of the board members told me over 8,000 people were on hand in the Brookhaven Village parking lot Thursday for the free concert. They are expecting almost 10,000 people Friday and possibly 30,000 at Andrews Park for headlining act Chuck Mangione.

Jazz in June
Growing up, I spent a good deal of my time in Norman and one of the best parts of the summer was heading out to Jazz in June. None of my friends were old enough for a car just yet, so one of our parents would drop us off at Brookhaven Village off 36th & […]
free wifi around town
I’m in Norman again for a video shoot on the OU campus. I got here early so I’m catching up on some work here at the Starbucks off Campus Corner.
Like anyone else who does a majority of their work on a laptop, coming across a free wifi spot is like finding gold. Now and then […]

deadCENTER Film Festival - day 2
The night started off with another All-Access party at the Oklahoma City Art Museum.
I left with a few friends to head out to catch the Whimsical Shorts at the IAO Gallery off 8th & Broadway downtown. We got there late so we weren’t able to see all of the short films, but our favorite one […]
deadCENTER Film Festival - day 1
Day one of the deadCENTER Film Festival was great. The kick off party for the All-Access pass holders started around 7:30 at the Film Exchange Building off Sheridan just west of downtown. Filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike were on hand for the food and/or to promote their film. I talked with several of the filmmakers […]
Canvas Art Show
So the Canvas Art Show was this past Friday night and I had a blast. After talking with some of the guys responsible for the show, they said they had a great turn out. Something like 1,400 people were there for the event.
If you weren’t there, you missed out on the customized Van’s, food from […]
RiverFest without the Dragons
Saturday I went out to RiverFest on the Oklahoma River.
Team Wimgo was out in force for some Dragon boat racing, but no dice. The officials said it was too windy to let us out on the water. Honestly, I was fine with that. Falling out of a boat with plenty of people watching from the […]
Sushi Happy Hour in Edmond
I thought it was a great secret of mine and a couple of my friends, but honestly I’m not that cool. Fuji Japanese Restaurant just north of 33rd and Broadway in Edmond has a happy hour sushi special on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I couldn’t tell you the exact times, but I can make it […]
