deadCENTER Film Festival - day 2

deadCENTER Film Festival - day 2
The night started off with another All-Access party at the Oklahoma City Art Museum.

I left with a few friends to head out to catch the Whimsical Shorts at the IAO Gallery off 8th & Broadway downtown. We got there late so we weren’t able to see all of the short films, but our favorite one was A Faery’s Tale by Sylvia Apostol. It was a film about a tooth fairy who runs into a little girl with a collection of her own.

After leaving IAO, we left for a packed Kerr Auditorium and The Stanton Family Grave Robbery. It was a story about three brothers whose father dies and is buried in Texas by their stepmother. The two older brothers kidnap the youngest and dig up their father to honor his wish of being buried in Oklahoma.

I loved it.

Day 3 is looking to be a late one with the Midnight Shorts starting at 11:55pm at the IAO Gallery and then hopefully I can get out into the 2am showing of Christmas on Mars by the guys from Oklahoma City’s own Flaming Lips.
