Renegade Picture Show

A friend of mine told me about the guys with Renegade Picture Show. Basically, its a group of people and a traveling drive-in movie.

Their website describes what their doing as “an impromptu drive-up drive-in.” Everyone meets up at a designated location, a video projector is setup to show a movie on the side of a building, wall, or other structure and everyone listens to the audio by tuning to it with their car radio.

Renegade Picture Show started out in Norman, but has since made its home base at Rocktown Climbing Gym in OKC. The best part is that the movie is free. They do accept donations, but more than anything they are just interested in showing films in a unique setting and in a unique way.

I missed the screening of Blazing Saddles on June 28th, but they are screening Jaws on July 19th.
