post Labor Day fun/work

How did the Labor Day plans turn out? Anything exciting?

While some of my friends headed out to the lake for the last time this summer or just took advantage of sleeping in, I spent most of the weekend becoming a first-time homeowner. Google search and Home Depot were key in my learning to patch drywall and avoiding death while replacing circa 1940 light switches.

please fix me
I did fit in a decent game of sand volleyball in Edmond and listened to the OU game on the radio. Other than that, I spent the three day weekend covered in drywall and freaking out about my new mortgage.

Your weekend sounded alot like mine. I spent my weekend painting the outside of the house. I did listen to the OSU game and went to eat at Crabtown in Bricktown.

That mortgage thing just becomes a part of you. You’ll get used to it. :)

If it is any consolation I found myself at battle with light switches installed in the glory days of our country a couple weeks ago too. My own impatiences led me soon to fiddling around with a live box for the harmless act of “just checking it out” as I told my wife and received what I believe to be its best shot. While I am not ready to do so again I am still here and my house didn’t burn down either. Have fun with the new house.
