coldplay. we hung out… ok, no we didn’t.

I was surprised to hear how many people didn’t know that Coldplay made it to Oklahoma City this past Sunday night. The show had been delayed from the original summer date. I’d been secretly wanting to go for the last few months, but I didn’t want to fork over the money to buy tickets.

A buddy of mine called Sunday afternoon and said he had 2 tickets - kinda hard to turn down. I did fork out $90 for my ticket, but I figured it’d be a great show.

Yea, it was…

Not too hot on the first act, but I did get lost with the second act - Jon Hopkins. Outstanding… You should check out his work.

Now back to Coldplay - Our seats weren’t too close to the stage, but I was BLOWN AWAY by the production value of the show. What was even better is when the band trucked it back to the small stage they had set up 20 feet from my seat.

The entire night was just one of those experiences that I’ll brag about from time to time. You know, the ‘Oh-yea-I-saw-Coldplay.-It-was-a-great-show’ type conversation that comes up now and then. I think the only thing that could’ve made the night better would’ve been if I had gotten a chance to do a quick interview with the band. Didn’t happen, but I did have a friend going for a while…
